A Massachusetts native, Emily graduated from Hamilton College with a double Bachelor’s degree in History and German Studies. After college she was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to Germany before starting on her graduate degrees. She obtained her Master’s degree in Acupuncture from New England School of Acupuncture and her Master’s degree in Pain Management from Tufts University School of Medicine.
Drawing from both Eastern and Western academic and clinic experiences, Emily provides a truly integrative style of care, offering acupuncture, nutritional and lifestyle counseling to achieve each patient’s individual wellness goals. Working closely with Dr. Guo, she has developed a deeper appreciation for a neurology-based approach to healing, which seeks to address the root cause of patients’ symptoms.
Her experience at Tufts Medical School has prepared her to effectively treat a variety of neurological and pain conditions, including neuropathy; arthritis; migraines, headaches, and facial pain; sports injuries; chronic pain conditions and chemical/substance addictions. Her other clinical interests include women’s health, infertility, pediatrics, psychological/emotional issues, and digestive system disorders.
