Merging Your Lifestyle With Your Needs

We address the underlying causes of illness using acupuncture and lifestyle medicine to restore balance and cultivate functional health.

Rather than a glitch or defect in our bodies, a symptom is an indicator of bodily imbalances and a request to remedy them.  We provide a wide variety of services from acupuncture and herbal medicine to lifestyle, nutrition and stress reduction counseling to remedy the imbalances and activate the body's innate healing potential.  Both Lifestyle Medicine and Chinese Medicine aim to address the underlying cause of illness, as opposed to symptom suppression, using a systems-oriented approach and engaging both patient and practitioner in a therapeutic partnership.

Whether you're experiencing PMS or pain, insomnia or infertility, menopause or mental health complaints, we will develop a customized treatment plan from our comprehensive services to support your health goals.

What is Acupuncture?

According to Chinese medicine, illness is the result of imbalances in the organs, fluids, and systems of the body.  Acupuncturists use very thin needles (as thin as a few strands of hair) to stimulate specific acupoints to restore normal balance and thus restore health.

What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?

Chinese herbal medicine uses nature’s harvest of natural substances – primarily plants and minerals – to promote natural healing and optimal health.  As the focus of continued research, Chinese herbal medicine can offer not only symptomatic relief in acute cases, but can also strengthen the bodies of patients with chronic conditions.

Why is Lifestyle Medicine?

Lifestyle medicine seeks to identify lifestyle factors contributing to illness and cultivate lifestyle change through diet, exercise, stress management, and other non-drug modalities to correct and reverse chronic illness. By making changes in everyday lifestyle habits, we can enhance vitality and support our bodies in their innate ability to maintain balance.
